FAQ For Students

A: Peer Mentors will assist first year students, enroll in FYE 101, during their academic transition into college. Mentors will offer guidance, respond to questions and provide information about campus and community resources; to empower mentors to become successful students at Wilmington University.

Wilmington University utilizes a plus/minus grading system in assessing student achievement. Students are awarded a grade and corresponding quality points for each credit hour they are enrolled. Selected programs require a minimum grade for passing.

A: After you submit your FAFSA form online or on the myStudentAid mobile app, you can check the status immediately. You (the student) will get your SAR within three days to three weeks after you submit your FAFSA form. The SAR is a summary of the FAFSA data you submitted. Look over your SAR carefully, make sure you didn’t make a mistake on your FAFSA form, and make corrections to your FAFSA data if necessary. The WilmU Financial Aid Office will notify you by email when your FAFSA has been received. In that email, you will also receive your necessary next steps. If you do not receive an email confirmation of FAFSA receipt within seven (7) business days, make sure you have included the WilmU school code (007948) on your FAFSA prior to contacting the Financial Aid Office for assistance.
